Why do you keep writing songs that do not sell? Gated community and Jezebel.? Have you ever made enough to buy yourself a meal? "I cannot help it I'm just playin what I feel." (Chorus) Don't want to be a jukebox- playing all the hits. If you want a jukebox you ought to pay for it. I may be misguided but my aim is real- I keep on playing what I feel. Why don't you cut your hair?- Your look is out of date.. The things you sing about no one can relate. "Your say I'm out of fashion but you just can't see. I'm just waiting for you to follow me." (Chorus) You know I keep on running . That is what I said. The rats they keep on running and they're coming out ahead. I don't have a gimmick and I look like hell. Why I keep doing this nobody can tell. (Chorus)

She should be in a magazine- making that Paris scene, Well' I'm talking about Darlene. She's the one with the bobbi sox. You know her jukebox really rocks. I'm talking about Darlene Don't you know that I love her till the day that I die. Put no one above her. I just don't know why. See her working down at the mall. She doesn't seem to mind at all. I'm talking about Darlene. And she - she should be in Vogue- not just selling clothes. She's only wasting time. And we, we should get away to the Champs - Elysees. Parles vous Francais?

I had such pleasant dreams last night I didn't want to wake- Spend another dreary day facing my mistakes . If I could do it all again I would do it right. I guess I'm going to have to wait till I dream tonight. (Chorus) I keep on singing my songs- hoping someday you'll sing along. That's my fantasy . Waiting for the day providence will come my way and you'll come back to me. If I could do it all again you would still be here. Instead I'm wasting time drowning in my beer. I wouldn't say the things I said. I would do it right. I guess I'll have to wait until I dream tonight (Chorus) I had such pleasant dreams last night - life could do no harm. Till I was interrupted by that damn alarm. I wouldn't say the things I said. I would do it right. Guess I'll have to wait until I dream tonight.

Well, I've been working down at the plant. Working just like a worker ant. Think about you daily- you know you drive me crazy. Don't you ever tell me that you can't. When I saw you, you looked so fine. I'd do anything to make you mine. Think about you daily. You know you drive me crazy. How about we meet at quittin' time (Chorus) Quitting Time, Quitting time etc How about we meet at quitting time? We'll meet in the parking lot. You won't have to say a lot. We'll go to the happy hour. Come on baby you've got the power, oh yeah.

Up all night at the local bar- I don't remember getting in my car. I don't remember getting in my house. Seven pitchers took me pretty far . (Chorus) I don't know how I got home. I don't know how I got home. Last I know I was seeing double. I should be bleeding, lying in the rubble. I know I'll never drive that way again. This kind of living really is a sin . I don't remember getting in my house.\ Seven hundred fifty rounds of gin. (Chorus)
6.
(Chorus) Love was here but now it's gone Just another forgotten song. Play it once and then move on - Sing another tune. There is no need to grieve. With autumn come the falling leaves. Spring will come I still believe and it will be soon There was once a song I used to sing. There was once a time when it meant everything. About a love that would not end if I recall. Now I don't remember it at all Don't know why I keep thinking about the past. Everybody knows it's never gonna last. All the best plans we used to make- vanish like our dreams when we awake. (Chorus) E
7.
(Chorus) Baby- you know you drive me crazy. You're the one who makes me run through the falling rain. Baby- everything gets hazy. Can't you see that loving you has made me go insane Sometimes I can't remember where I parked my car- All I think about is you . I keep on looking but It can't be very far. Why do you do the things you do ? (Chorus) Sometimes I can't remember exactly where I am. I keep on roaming through this town. I must say that I can't remember when I've been so turned around
