In this collection Rick Lawndale has chosen to showcase his acoustic music. In addition to performing in electrified surf rock and country bands such as Lawndale and The Rick Lawndale Band as well as cover bands such as Backtracks and, Nation Culture, Rick has always maintained an interest in acoustic music .His first live performances , in fact, were at the open mics of such legendary clubs as the Palomino and The Improv in the early 1980's.
The instrumentation on this album is intentionally sparse; just Rick on acoustic guitar and keyboards as well as some stellar performances by frequent collaborators Oscar Rospide (Luminoso ) on accordion and Bobby Holly a.k.a.Funky on saxophone.
Rick can be seen at numerous venues throughout the L.A. area either solo or as part of the acoustic duo The Traveling Troubadours with singer and guitarist Hector Sanchez.
